What is EHM?

A shore eging derby born in Nagasaki, Japan.

EHM (Eging Happy Meeting) started as a local squid event in Nagasaki. Now, we’re opening a monthly online derby for eging anglers around the world — with clear rules and simple entry.

Squid-only. We focus on eging, not general fishing.
Shore only – boat and offshore fishing are not allowed.
Each month, only your longest squid counts as your official result.
Rankings are decided by length, just like the original Japanese EHM derby.

You don’t need a special field or boat. If you can cast an egi from the shore and measure your squid, you can join.

If you can cast an egi and measure your squid, you’re ready. No boats, no complicated apps, just photos and length.

Complete your subscription with PayPal. During checkout, enter your shipping address – we’ll use this to send your NFC cards when we ship each year.

Receive your NFC cards (once per year)

We ship NFC cards in one batch per year from Japan. Your annual fee is designed so you always get physical value worth at least ¥3,000.

FAQ

Questions from eging anglers. Answered.

Can I join from my country?

Yes. If you can shore fish for squid and measure your catch, you can join. We accept entries from any country as long as you follow the rules.

Are boats and kayaks allowed?

No. EHM Global is a shore-only eging derby. Boat, kayak, and offshore fishing are not allowed to keep the field as fair as possible.

How do you decide the winner each year?

We use length only. Each angler’s official result is the longest squid they submit for that month. Just like the original EHM in Japan, rankings are based on maximum length.

When do I receive my NFC cards?

We ship NFC cards once per year in one batch from Japan. As long as you are an active Supporter when we prepare shipments, your two cards will be included.

Can I choose the URL for my profile card?

Yes. Your TCG-style profile NFC card can jump to any URL: your Instagram, YouTube channel, blog, or a special profile page. We’ll collect your URL when we prepare the cards.

Is this gambling or betting?

No. EHM is a skill-based eging derby and supporter community. There is no betting or prize money based on wagers – it’s a sports-like competition for squid anglers.
